Steve and Annette Horning
Rev. Steve and Annette Horning have pastored and been missionaries in Argentina, New Mexico, Andorra, Argentina,
and then Andorra again. They were both in involved in early ministry in Youth With A Mission (YWAM). They met while ministering
at the Winter Olympics in Toronto, Canada, and later married. Steve is from our area, Running Springs, California and Annette
is from South Africa. After they were married, they went to Argentina with Evangelist Omar Cabrero. Because of the great revivals
in Argentina through brother Cabrero's ministry, Steve would travel 1500 miles a week pastoring three to four churches with
attendance between 400-1500 people in each service.
They left that ministry in good standing, and when
coming back to the states they were asked to help out a church in New Mexico, which they did for over a year. While collecting
support for the work they felt the Lord was directing them to, which was Spain, they continued pastoring the church in New
Mexico. When they completed their commitment to that church, they moved to Spain. Most missionaries don't last more than a
year in Spain because of the oppression and resistance to the Gospel. After several years, Steve, who wasn't seeing much fruit,
went to the nearby nation of Andorra. Andorra is located in the Pyrenees Mountain range, and has been controlled by Spain
and France, even though it is its own nation.
God opened the doors there and Steve and Annette felt
direction from the Lord to headquarter and start a church in that resort nation. But after being there for a few years, the
government was going to snuff out anything God had done through Steve because only the Catholic church was allowed in Andorra...it
was an eight hundred year old law. But Steve had ministered to two men who later ran for office, and if I got the story right,
they both won, becoming the President and Secretary of State of Andorra. They pushed for change in the nation, and that eight
hundred year old law was repealed, allowing Steve's church to keep going. It has, and continues to grow. He started up Bible
schools in Eastern Europe, the nations of Europe. Steve and Annette have three children: Sonia, the oldest; Ivan his son;
and the youngest, Natalia.
Steve and the family handed over the work in Andorra to elders in the church, and felt
a call to return to Argentina. God gave Him favor in His new location. I apologize for not mentioning the name of the city.
He and Annette have now returned to Andorra, starting another church. The church is growing. They have also started to work
with the few churches in Andorra that have youth groups.
We love you both and are grateful to you for your
support and prayers to see the demonic strongholds of apathy broken off our city. Blessings and greetings for all!
