LESSON
#1 - REPENTANCE FROM DEAD WORKS
Isaiah 55:7
To repent means to go in a different direction than you were. This means changing to God's ways and thoughts. This can
only be done with God's help.
Acts 2:38
So repenting isn't simple feeling sorry that you got caught. No! You are truly sorry. Because of this, you receive forgiveness
of your sin.
Acts 17:30
When we repent, we are giving God control of our lives. This is what we did when we received Jesus as our Lord.
Acts 26:20
We are to do works showing that we have really repented. Do your actions and words show repentance? Has there been a change
in your life?
2 Corinthians 7:10
After we've become a Christian, we can tell when God is speaking to us because it always leads us to repentance without
condemnation.
LESSON
#1 - SALVATION
I John 5:11-13
We can know for sure we have eternal life. God gives us an
inner witness--we "know" our salvation assurance by the Holy Spirit bearing witness with our spirit.
John 1:12 Ephesians 2:3
Before we were saved, our nature was being a child of wrath. But it takes the power of God to become a child of God.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Romans 8:16-17
He changes our nature. You are a child of God because you received Christ. The Holy Spirit confirms this to you. All of Christ's
inheritance is yours as well. Welcome to the family of God!
