The Believer's Chapel pantry is used for those in need in the community who are without food. We feed between 700-800
people per month with 3-4 days worth of food. We are feeding over 2800 people each month in 2012, and have as of September
feed more than 25,000 people. We give out food on Thursdays from 12 noon to 3pm. Our stats show that we fed over 20,000 people
for all of 2008. In 2009-10, we feed 30,000. We only give out food: not gas
or gas vouchers; not rents or utilities. If you were to buy a box of cereal from one of the local stores, you would
pay anywhere from $3-5 dollars for it. If we bought cereal down at the Riverside Food Bank, we could get it for under 20 cents
a box. We can get a round 2,000 pounds for close to $400.00 dollars. No, we don't get it free, but we do at 18 cents a pound.
Other than the cost of gas, all donations of money go to buy food. Everyone donates their time and energy to be a blessing
to people.
We are not government funded, and therefore are dependent upon organizations, churches, restaurants,
and people who donate cash or food. We want to thank these organizations and businesses: Big Bear Valley Real Estate; Vons
